Job Description

We are seeking a Patient Registration Specialist to support pre-appointment registration and insurance verification activities for a large healthcare organization. This individual will review and resolve registration errors, validate demographic and insurance information, and ensure patient accounts are accurate prior to scheduled appointments. The role requires working efficiently within Epic and other payer portals to prevent downstream billing and authorization issues. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, knowledgeable in healthcare insurance, and able to manage a high-volume work queue in a fast-paced environment.

Required Skills & Experience

Experience with patient registration, scheduling support, or front-end revenue cycle operations in a healthcare setting.
Strong understanding of insurance verification, including Commercial, Medicare, Medicaid, Workers' Compensation, and Auto insurance.
Experience identifying and resolving registration-related errors prior to patient appointments.
Proficiency with Epic, including registration, scheduling, or work queue management functions.
Excellent attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to manage a high-volume workload while meeting daily productivity goals.
Experience utilizing Real-Time Eligibility (RTE) tools and resolving eligibility discrepancies.

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

Background working with multiple specialties and diverse payer populations.
Familiarity with prior authorizations, referral requirements, or pre-service financial clearance processes.
