Job Description
A Fortune 500 client is looking for a Network Administrator/Engineer to join their Field Infrastructure + Security Operations team. This client is within the Food & Beverage + Hospitality industry, which requires the delivery of Retail Technology solutions (i.e. Point-of-Sale). They will work with customers and field teams (both the business and technical) to access their environment, conduct/prepare site surveys, and understand what is needed to complete the network installs, upgrades, refreshes, etc. Will be managing the pre-deployment activities and requirements, as well as supporting the project throughout the installation and troubleshooting (i.e. on-site support). This will involve various Infrastructure components; connectivity, wireless surveys, cradle points, access points, IDF closets, cabling, ethernet, rack and stacking, ISPs, etc. Will be working with Cisco technologies, specifically managed switches, as well as Fortinet firewalls. Should be familiar with being in a "field service" environment, collaborating with multiple areas of the organization for the related work.
Required Skills & Experience
3+ years of experience as a Network Administrator/Engineer
Experience with conducting site surveys; connectivity, IDF closets, wireless assessments, servers, access points, etc.
Experience with network installation; switches, routers, circuits, firewalls, cabling, ethernet, rack and stack, ISPs, etc.
Experience with Cisco switches, i.e. managed switches; changing VLANs, ports, reloads, configuration, etc.
Experience with network troubleshooting, monitoring performance, diagnosing, working with the field for resolution, etc.
Possess a Bachelor's Degree OR relevant Certifications (i.e. CCNA, A++, etc.)
Nice to Have Skills & Experience
Experience with deployment of Point-of-Sale (POS) or retail technology
Experience with Fortinet firewalls
