Job Description

This position is for our large software Saas client. We are seeking a Senior Support Engineer to provide back end/technical support for all users of the SAP Fieldglass application, our proprietary services procurement application. The successful candidate must have working experience creating and editing SQL, preferably T-SQL, on a day-to-day basis to resolve issues. The ideal candidate must also have exceptional analytical, critical thinking, and troubleshooting skills.



On a daily basis this person will be responsible for:

- Provide 2nd level technical support for all users of the Fieldglass application.

- Collect, analyze and work to provide solutions for projects, client initiatives and day to day issues.

- Identify best solutions for specific situations utilizing critical thinking, troubleshooting and problem solving skills.

- Create and maintain automated Slack notifications for application issues in SQL and PowerShell to proactively identify and resolve issues before clients are impacted.

- Serve as a liaison between Development, Quality Assurance, DBA s and Professional Services teams.

- Develop documentation to improving efficiency and reduce time spent on support cases.

- Present process improvement recommendations and enhancements to senior leaders, further improving efficiency, quality, and profitability.

- Must have the ability to react to customer needs and requests, through issue tracking by clearly setting priorities quickly, adjusting to client driven changes, firmly commit to tasks and meeting deadlines

- Must show an ability to apply problem-solving techniques to application, environment, and to data issues

- Results-oriented, self-motivated, and organized while demonstrating the ability to balance multiple priorities simultaneously

- Solid work ethic and dedication to producing high quality accurate work

Required Skills & Experience

- 3+ years of experience supporting the SAP Fieldglass application

- 3+ years of experience with SQL scripting as well as ad-hoc reporting

- Must have been in a client facing customer support role

- Experience being the liason between technical Development and QA teams

- Strong documentation skills in ticketing systems and in shared systems
