Job Description
We are seeking a Senior Data QA Tester to support large-scale data initiatives for a healthcare payor client in the Newtown Square, PA area. This person's core focus is to ensure the accuracy, reliability and compliance of data for the client's HEIDS, CMS Interoperability (FHIR), Payer Data critical programs. You will collaborate with data engineers, architects, and business stakeholder on these efforts. You will also help transition the organization's QA capabilities from manual-heavy processes to scalable, automation-driven solutions. Key Responsibilities include:
○ Lead end-to-end data QA strategy and execution across ETL/ELT pipelines in a healthcare payer environment
○ Validate payer datasets and regulatory outputs (claims, membership, CMS/FHIR, HEDIS)
○ Testing databases, data warehousing solutions and other data models across QA/Test lifecycle of an application
○ Drive QA automation and CI/CD integration across Databricks, ADF, and Azure DevOps
○ Ensure data quality, governance, and compliance (HIPAA, CMS, lineage, audit readiness)
Partner cross-functionally to resolve data issues, improve processes, and mentor junior QA resources

Required Skills & Experience
· 8+ years in data QA/testing, with at least 3 years in a Healthcare Payer Domain.
· Strong expertise in Azure Databricks (Workflows, Delta Lake, Delta Live Tables, Unity Catalog).
· Hands-on experience with Azure Data Factory (pipelines, monitoring, CI/CD).
· Proficiency in Python, PySpark, SQL for test automation.
· Familiarity with Great Expectations, Azure DevOps, and Collibra.
· Knowledge of data governance, PII compliance, and data quality frameworks.
· Experience in CI/CD pipelines, DevOps practices, and cloud data platforms.
· Strong communication and leadership abilities for cross-functional teamwork.
Nice to Have Skills & Experience
· Experience with HL7/FHIR data models beyond payer use cases.
· Experience with Lakehouse architecture and medallion design patterns.
· Familiarity with BI tools (Power BI, Tableau) to validate reporting layer data.
· Understanding of data governance platforms (e.g., Collibra).
· Knowledge of automation frameworks for data QA and pipeline regression testing.
· Certifications: Microsoft Certified: Azure Data Engineer Associate, Databricks Certified Data Engineer. Azure DevOPs Engineer Associate
