Job Description

Insight Global is seeking a Wastewater Engineer to support an established engineering consulting firm out of New Britian. The Civil Engineer will be responsible for executing technical work related to municipal wastewater engineering projects. This role focuses on the design, evaluation, and upgrading of wastewater treatment plants, pump stations, and sewer systems. The successful candidate will work independently or as part of a team, with opportunities to manage projects from conception through completion. Strong experience in wastewater infrastructure, regulatory compliance, and public bidding processes is essential.

Required Skills & Experience

Bachelor’s Degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering, or a related discipline.
7+ years of experience in sewage planning, wastewater treatment design, pump station design, and municipal plan reviews.
Proficiency in hydraulic modeling software (SewerGEMS or similar) and AutoCAD (Civil 3D preferred).
Registered Professional Engineer in Pennsylvania or New Jersey.
Experience working for an engineering consulting firm.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a proven ability to work independently or as part of a team.

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

Strong working knowledge of wastewater treatment processes.

Familiarity with regulatory permitting (NPDES, WET testing) and environmental compliance requirements.
Experience with public bidding processes for wastewater equipment and construction projects.
Ability to perform technical design calculations and prepare detailed technical reports.
Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and a commitment to maintaining high ethical standards.
Ability to manage multiple clients and projects simultaneously.
Self-motivated to stay current with emerging technologies and regulatory changes in wastewater treatment and conveyance.
