Job Description

The R&D Technician / Specialist will support Kraft Heinz’s North America Taste Elevation team by executing analytical lab measurements and supporting product development initiatives. This role is highly detail‑oriented and lab‑focused, requiring strong data integrity, organization, and multitasking capabilities. The technician will assist with ingredient preparation, experimentation, shelf‑life evaluation, pilot plant activities, and documentation while collaborating closely with Food Scientists and R&D teams.

Required Skills & Experience

• Highly organized with strong attention to detail
• Ability to manage large volumes of data without compromising accuracy
• Prior experience working in a laboratory environment
• Hands‑on experience with:
○ Sample preparation
○ Measuring, weighing, mixing, labeling
○ Analytical balances and pipetting (preferred)
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Teams)
• Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in STEM:
○ Chemistry, Microbiology, Food Science, Dairy/Meat Science, Chemical Engineering (preferred)
• Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 40 lbs

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

• Experience in food, beverage, or CPG R&D labs
• Exposure to pilot plant or production trials
• Shelf‑life testing experience
• Background in QC, food science, chemistry, or related fields
Experience managing ingredient or lab inventory
