Job Description
The Field Service Engineer will provide on-site technical support, maintenance, and troubleshooting for Eaton’s power systems and battery technologies. This role requires hands-on work, frequent travel to customer sites, and strong problem-solving skills to ensure optimal performance of electrical systems.
Install, maintain, and repair Eaton power systems, battery technologies, and related electronic equipment at customer sites.
Perform diagnostics and troubleshooting on electrical systems using schematic diagrams and test equipment.
Conduct preventive maintenance and system upgrades to ensure reliability and compliance with Eaton standards.
Document service activities including work performed, parts used, and recommendations for future maintenance.
Provide technical support and training to customers on proper operation and maintenance of Eaton equipment.
Ensure safety compliance during all service activities, adhering to Eaton and customer safety protocols.
Manage travel schedules efficiently to meet service commitments, with up to 25% drive-time expected.
Lift and transport equipment weighing 50+ lbs as required for installations and repairs.
Collaborate with internal teams to escalate complex issues and coordinate parts or resources for repairs.

Required Skills & Experience
· High School Diploma or GED from an accredited institution.
· Minimum of three (3) years of Power Systems, Battery technologies and/or Electronics experience (coursework and internship experience apply).
· Must possess and maintain a valid and unrestricted state driver's license.
· Can lift 50+lbs
Frequent travel to customer sites is required, with up to 25% of drive-time expected.
Nice to Have Skills & Experience
· Associate’s degree in Electrical, Electronics, or related field from an Accredited Institution or currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering program from an accredited institution.
· Ability to read schematic drawings and knowledge of troubleshooting, test and repair techniques.
Electrical Technology Certificate from an accredited institution
