Job Description
Insight Global is seeking a Level 1 Cybersecurity Analyst to support Bryn Mawr College’s IT security operations. This entry-level role is ideal for candidates looking to build a strong foundation in cybersecurity while contributing to the protection of institutional data and systems.
Responsibilities:
1. Monitor Security Alerts
Use SIEM tools to continuously monitor security alerts and events.
Analyze alerts to assess potential impact and escalate incidents when necessary.
2. Incident Response
Assist in identifying, investigating, and responding to security incidents.
Document incidents and prepare reports for senior analysts.
3. Vulnerability Management
Conduct regular vulnerability scans on systems and applications.
Support patching and updates to mitigate risks.
4. Threat Intelligence
Stay current on emerging threats, vulnerabilities, and trends.
Help gather and analyze threat intelligence relevant to the college.
5. User Support
Provide technical support to users on security issues and best practices.
Assist in training users on security awareness and compliance.
6. Documentation
Maintain and update security policies and procedures.
Contribute to incident response plans and security guidelines.
7. Security Technologies Used
SIEM, Endpoint Protection, MFA, EDR, IPS/IDS, Firewalls, Vulnerability Management Platforms.

Required Skills & Experience
-Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent experience).
-Basic understanding of network protocols, firewalls, and intrusion detection/prevention systems.
-Familiarity with Windows and Linux operating systems and security tools.
Nice to Have Skills & Experience
Certifications: (Preferred but not required)
- CompTIA Security+
- Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH)
- Cisco Certified CyberOps Associate
