Job Description

Our large pharmaceutical client in Spring House, PA is seeking a Scientist to join the Critical Reagents Bioanalysis team within the R&D Bioanalytical Discovery and Development Sciences organization. This person will be providing protein biochemistry services to support the bioanalytical laboratory. These services include but are not limited to: protein conjugation, purification, and characterization. In addition, the job responsibility also includes preparing or managing the preparation of critical buffer inventory stocks. The position performs experiments and maintains detailed laboratory and experimental records via electronic laboratory notebook system and online database, in accordance with GLP. The candidate should be highly self-motivated with excellent communication and scientific problem solving skills and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team. Additional responsibilities include:

-Provide complete and compliant end-to-end documentation for all outgoing shipments
-Assess biophysical and/or biochemical properties of assay reagents
-Submit data and outcomes to manager and follow directions on next steps
-Operate laboratory equipment and instruments in adherence to laboratory SOPs and safety training
-Follow standard operating procedures (SOPs) and help with daily protein purification and conjugation work
-Support accurate and compliant record keeping and experimental data integrity with the use of electronic lab notebook and standard databases
-Contribute data and ideas in group meetings

Required Skills & Experience

-Prior experience with protein purification and conjugation techniques
-Bachelor's Degree in Biochemistry or similar discipline
-2+ years of relevant lab experience
-Experience with HPLC, SDS-PAGE, UV/vis spectrophotometry, centrifugation

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

-GLP compliant laboratory work and use of validated equipment
-Immunoassay experience
