Job Description
In this role, you will help modernize infrastructure across on-premises data centers and cloud environments by applying consistent orchestration practices in both. You will own patching and vulnerability workflows, driving automation through tools such as Terraform and Kubernetes to streamline orchestration across hybrid environments. Additionally, you will build and maintain Infrastructure-as-Code modules and CI/CD pipelines, collaborating closely with application development and platform teams using Azure DevOps. A key aspect of the role involves pairing with experienced internal engineers to transfer knowledge and boost confidence in deploying modern practices. You will also support mixed operating system estates—including Linux/Unix and Windows—across commercial business units, while partnering with cloud and networking stakeholders to establish steady-state operations and reusable patterns that span both on-prem and Azure/AWS environments.

Required Skills & Experience
• 5+ years of professional experience as a Systems Engineer doing patching & vulnerability management
• Experience with Operating systems (OS): Linux/Unix or Windows
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform
• Experience with Containerization using Kubernetes
• Understanding of CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices; experience with Azure DevOps (ADO)
• Cloud experience with Azure (preferred) or AWS
Nice to Have Skills & Experience
• Recent/active Public Trust Security clearance strongly preferred (last 12 months) to accelerate onboarding.
• Comfortable pairing with and coaching existing Systems Engineers
