Job Description
The Electrical SME will provide technical oversight of power plant electrical systems, including high voltage, low voltage, protection and controls, duct banks, conduits, and substations.
• Lead electrical installation, testing, and commissioning.
• Oversee LOTO procedures and ensure compliance with OSHA standards.
• Coordinate with utilities for substation tie-ins and distribution systems.
• Troubleshoot electrical system issues to maintain reliability.

Required Skills & Experience
Qualifications
• Minimum 10+ years’ experience in electrical construction for gas power plants or large industrial facilities, with deep expertise in simple cycle, combined cycle facilities, and/or reciprocating plants
• Expertise in High voltage/low voltage systems, protection and controls, and substations.
• Required: OSHA 30, AED/First Aid certification, valid U.S. driver’s license.
• Strong technical knowledge of LOTO safety procedures.
Nice to have/ what to look out for:
• Background in high-voltage substations (230kV/345kV+), transmission, and distribution systems.
• Search terms: protection & controls, switchgear, relays, duct bank installation.
• Look for prior roles as Electrical Superintendent, HV Manager, or Electrical Engineer on EPC projects.
