Job Description

Combustion Engineer:

-Make sure the burning process inside the kiln happens correctly, control the ductwork temp and analyzing the structure of the kiln

-Turning fuel into energy through a heating process

-Working on clean energy/making process more efficient



Day to Day:

-Inspections of equipment to make sure they adhere to designs

-Analyzing emissions/making sure they have less emissions from their kiln

-Looking at fans, blowers, gas trains, exhaust, and burner settings

-Following pieces of equipment as it's being fabricated

-40% travel

-Travel required, 2-3 weeks at a time, majority in states, some international, getting really busy now so more travel to start

-Dedicated to one furnace project at a time, working with leadership

-Work with refractory companies/emissions

-Commissioning, engineering and design, fabrication and inspection

-7-8 jobs in the queue (selling point)

Required Skills & Experience

· Bachelor's degree in mechanical or chemical engineering or a related field

· 3-5 years of experience in design engineering, more if they have an associates in a mechanical or HVAC related background

· technical troubleshooting
