Job Description
Description:
A global biopharmaceutical company is seeking a strong Senior Full-Stack Engineer to support their enterprise analytics applications as they evolve from primarily Power BI dashboards to web-based, React-driven analytics experiences backed by Python/FastAPI services. They are also introducing AI/agentic workflows to accelerate delivery (e.g., generating UI/report code), and need this experienced full-stack engineer to lead architecture, build the first wave of apps, and mentor a data-first team in modern web development. This is a contract until the end of 2026 with the possibility of extension and can sit remotely anywhere in LATAM and will work EST standard working hours.
What you’ll do
· Design and build interactive analytics/reporting experiences in React (TypeScript) that replace or extend specific Power BI capabilities.
· Build and evolve a FastAPI backend (auth, APIs, caching, background jobs as needed) that serves analytics use cases cleanly and securely.
· Define and implement application architecture: component patterns, state management, API contracts, error handling, performance strategy, testing strategy, and release practices.
· Own the path to production readiness: scalability, observability (logging/metrics/tracing), reliability, and security.
· Lead Azure deployments end-to-end (containers/app hosting, networking considerations, secrets/config, CI/CD).
· Partner with data engineers working in Fabric to align data access patterns, performance, and governance.
· Mentor and enable the team: pairing, workshops, code reviews, lightweight standards—so we can confidently maintain and extend the React layer.
· Establish pragmatic ways to use AI/agentic tools in engineering (guardrails, code review standards, evaluation, “human-in-the-loop” workflows).

· Proven experience deploying and operating services on Azure (e.g., App Service, Container Apps, etc).
· Strong system design skills: scaling, caching, API design, security, and operational concerns.
· Comfortable teaching/mentoring (pair programming, code reviews, setting standards without heavy bureaucracy).
Experience working with CI/CD and modern Git workflows.
Ability to support Power BI and Data Engineering tasks
Nice to Have Skills & Experience
· Familiarity with Microsoft Fabric, data engineering workflows, and analytics patterns.
· Experience with data visualization in React (e.g., Plotly, ECharts, D3, AG Grid, etc.) and building reusable chart components.
· Knowledge of Power BI and common dashboard/reporting semantics (filters, drill-through, row-level security concepts).
