Job Description

o Weld complex/customized parts and weldments with foresight to avoid any technical issues
o Responsible for determining the appropriate equipment and methods required to tool, tack and weld complex parts.
o Responsible for maintaining the equipment and tools required to perform the job in your area.
o Work closely with Lead Technician to maintain appropriate stock of tooling table equipment, welding equipment and consumables to perform the job at hand.
o Ability to interpret an engineering drawings to establish small weldments.
o Maintain tooling, tooling tables, welders and measuring equipment required for fabricating activities
o Ability to work with Engineering team when fabricating parts
o Ability to communicate via email, phone, in person and skype conversations
o Develop and mentor fellow fabrication specialists to follow best practices and standards.

Required Skills & Experience

o High School Diploma with five (5) years of experience in engineering or equivalent*
o Certified Welder (CW).
o Foresight to address potential technical issues with tooling setup and weldment fabrication.
o Knowledge of fabrication and tooling terms and definitions.
o Ability to read and interpret documents such as procedures, operating and maintenance instructions, and engineering drawings.
o Ability to adapt to a fast pace and fluid environment
o Attention to detail and quality
o Ability to manage workload and understand deliverables and project timing
o Verbal and written communication skills
