Job Description

A local school district is seeking an entry level Accountant to join their growing team. This is a 6 month contract to hire position and the resource must sit onsite in Allentown, PA. Their responsibilities will be to assists with supervising accounts payable and receivable, payroll, state reporting and general business functions within the Business Office. Collaborates with various administrators of administrative detail by performing the following duties: booking receivables, working with the bank, bank transfers, bank balances and basic accounting day to day duties. The hours would be Monday-Friday from 8am-4pm.

Required Skills & Experience

- Minimum Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance or related field.

- One year of experience in accounting, business management, or related field, preferably in a school environment.

- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

- Demonstrated proficiency in technology and financial software applications, including Microsoft Excel.

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

- CPA

- Prior experience working in a school district
