A local utility company is seeking an IT Project Manager to assist within the Extended Day Ahead Market (EDAM), which involves planning and scheduling energy transactions a day in advance. You'll work closely with your assigned Project Management to ensure each project phase runs smoothly. Key responsibilities include identifying and managing risks, maintaining regular communication with stakeholders, monitoring milestones, timelines, and budgets, and making necessary adjustments. You'll also handle administrative tasks such as setting up project files, compiling reports, providing guidance on project management tools and techniques, and ensuring projects are formally closed and reviewed.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead and document small-scale projects or subprojects, typically lasting under six months with limited budget and strategic impact.
Collaborate with a small team or work independently, actively engaging in all project phases.
Identify and manage risks to ensure project success.
Develop and agree on project plans with stakeholders, including quality, risk, and communication plans, and monitor progress against the schedule.
Manage stakeholder involvement and ensure effective communication.
Track costs, timelines, and resource usage, taking corrective actions as needed.
Ensure projects are formally closed and reviewed, documenting lessons learned.
Utilize recommended PMO procedures for planning, scheduling, and tracking.
Set up project files, compile and distribute reports, and provide administrative support to project boards and quality review meetings.
Offer guidance on project management software tools and techniques.

Minimum of two years in Project Assistant/ Project Coordinator in managing IT systems.
Proficiency in Jira, Smart Sheets, Confluence, and Excel.
Understanding of software development, system implementation, and requirements gathering.
Knowledge of system design, testing principles, and integration practices.
Ability to develop detailed work plans and staffing needs for each project phase.
Proficiency in standard tools and techniques, and skill in developing comprehensive project plans.
PMI Certified Associate in Project Management (CAPM)
Project Management Professional (PMP)
