Job Description
The Purchasing Manager is essential to the client's procurement operations, overseeing supplier selection and evaluation, managing the purchasing team, and ensuring timely, cost-effective, and high-quality procurement of goods and services. Strategic thinking, leadership, and cost-saving skills are vital to this team's success.
* Develop and implement procurement strategies that align with the company's goals and objectives, including cost reduction, supplier optimization, and risk management.
* Collaborate with the S&OP Manager to manage inventory levels, minimize excess inventory, and ensure that materials are available as needed.
* Work with Product Managers and/or the S&OP Manager to identify, evaluate, and select suppliers as needed.
* Generate and present regular reports on procurement performance, including key performance indicators (KPIs), to the executive leadership team.
Maintain strong relationships with vendors to ensure the timely delivery of high quality goods and services.
Required Skills & Experience
* Bachelor's degree in business administration, supply chain management, or a related field
* 5+ years in a managerial role, leading a team of 3+ individuals
* Has a background in buyer positions or related field to the industrial/pump industry
Prior in-depth knowledge of procurement processes, cost analysis, and supply chain
