Job Description

A Portland based renewable energy company is seeking a detail-oriented and strategic Renewable Energy Procurement Analyst to support their growing portfolio of renewable energy and battery storage projects. As the Procurement Analyst, you will wear multiple hats supporting contract functions, purchasing, sourcing, and vendor management. The most successful candidates in this role will utilize their experience in the energy space to execute procurement and supply chain best practices in collaboration with other GridStor departments.

Key Responsibilities
Support the drafting, review, and negotiation of a range of contracts, including (Power Purchase Agreements) PPAs, EPC agreements, NDAs, and vendor contracts.
Collaborate cross-functionally with legal, finance, engineering, and project teams to ensure alignment on contract terms and project goals.
Support procurement operations by managing vendor relationships, facilitating purchase/change orders, and ensuring timely execution of procurement requests.
Engage with lenders and Independent Engineers during review processes to ensure contractual compliance with financing and due diligence standards.
Contribute to the development and continuous improvement of contract templates, policies, and procedures as the company scales.
Proactively identify and resolve contractual risks or bottlenecks throughout the project lifecycle.

Required Skills & Experience

3+ years of experience in contract management, procurement, supply chain or a related field within the energy space (preferable renewable) (i.e. i.e. solar, wind, battery, oil & gas, utility, natural gas, geothermal, etc.).
Bachelors degree in Supply Chain, Business, Law, Engineering, or a related field.
Strong understanding of commercial and legal terms, especially in the context of renewable energy projects.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, mission-driven environment.

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

Experience with battery energy storage systems (BESS), power purchase agreements (PPAs), or interconnection agreements.
Knowledge of regulatory frameworks and permitting processes in the energy sector.
Experience working on the Independent Power Producer (IPP) side.
Proficiency in contract and procurement/purchasing management software.
