Job Description
A long-established creative marketing agency is expanding its senior leadership team and hiring a Head of Accounts to oversee a large portfolio of high-value clients and guide the agency’s account organization. This role reports directly to the COO — who previously held this position — creating a clear and proven path for long-term advancement.
This individual will manage Directors and cross-functional teams overseeing $10M+ in revenue. You’ll be responsible for the overall health, financial performance, and strategic direction of several enterprise-level accounts at once, while also driving new-client acquisition and expansion opportunities.
You will partner directly with the Executive team to guide operational decisions, elevate client satisfaction, forecast revenue, and strengthen the agency’s ability to scale. The organization is highly collaborative, promotes from within, and is growing — this position is open due to upward mobility at the leadership level and increased client demand.
Ideal candidates come from creative/digital agency environments (not brand-side) and excel at storytelling, strategic decision-making, high-level selling, and building deep client relationships. Team size varies by account but typically ranges from 20–30 across disciplines.

Required Skills & Experience
12+ years overseeing enterprise-level clients within a creative/digital agency (brand-side backgrounds will not be considered)
8+ years leading teams, including coaching, resourcing, and performance development
Proven ability to run multiple high-value accounts simultaneously
Demonstrated success driving account growth, retaining large clients, and securing new business
Exceptional selling and negotiation ability with strong executive presence
Deep understanding of digital marketing, deliverables, multi-channel strategy, and agency operations
Experience managing $10M+ budgets, SOW creation, profitability metrics, and forecasting
Strong conflict-resolution and decision-making skills
Nice to Have Skills & Experience
Experience supporting an agency during scaling or restructuring phases
Exposure to crisis management for key clients
Background in OKR planning and agency-wide strategic initiatives
Familiarity with emerging digital channels or performance marketing tools
