Job Description
As a Power BI Analyst, you are responsible for structuring the strategic design and maintenance of business intelligence applications. The role also ensures that the use of business intelligence enhances business decision making capabilities. This role will help define our global business intelligence approach, focusing on data discovery and definition, report generation, analytics, and tool administration. The resource will also be involved in all aspects of business intelligence development including design, data modeling, implementation, and testing. The successful candidate will have a demonstrated track record of leveraging analytics and business intelligence, driving for value in a collaborative approach. The individual should be solutions-oriented, who will interface with business partners to understand report requests submitted to the Data Analytics and Reporting team. This resource is tasked to take a consultative approach to better understand what the business users are trying to accomplish and help curate the best solution to then build reports to adequately generate an adequate report for the user. Data modeling expertise is a huge plus as a focus for the organization is to build data models for self-service end-user consumption.

Required Skills & Experience
- Undergraduate degree from an accredited four-year program, preferably in computer science or a related area of study or equivalent experience
- 3- 4+ years of enterprise level report writing (preferably with Power BI)
- 2+ years of Microsoft Power BI experience
- Experience working with multiple data sources (e.g., SQL databases, Excel, cloud-based services).
- Solid understanding of star/snowflake schema design.
- 1+ years of self-service BI experience
- Demonstrated expertise in designing and building Power BI data models for end user consumption
- Understanding of RLS and other security features within Power BI
- Ability to quickly understand complex data sets
- Data manipulation and problem-solving skills with strong attention to detail and concern for order and quality
- DAX/M experience
- Traditional warehousing/ETL knowledge
- Ability to work with end users in understanding requirements and providing suggestions on how to best leverage data to solve business problems.
Nice to Have Skills & Experience
- Experience working with SSRS
- Experience working with Azure Synapse, Data/One Lake, and Microsoft Fabric environments
