Job Description
Insight Global is seeking a Senior Seasonal Story Designer to support a large sports lifestyle retail brand with a global retail footprint. This role will be based in the Beaverton, Oregon area and will be part of the Global Brand Design Retail team, which serves as the steward of retail innovation across all regions worldwide.
You will focus on a core seasonal project, partnering closely with cross-functional global teams and agency partners to deliver highly innovative and immersive concepts and experiences to retail stores around the world. You will be responsible for designing 3–6 retail doors across global markets and will work closely with a producer partner and fabrication agencies to execute concepts through installation. You will act as a subject matter expert during installs to ensure the brand voice and design intent are consistently brought to life across regions.
Additional responsibilities include:
- Support and partner with the Sr. Creative Director and Design Director to lead seasonal and long-term global vision, strategic and tactical direction, and design continuity
- Lead a design process rooted in clear ideation, focusing on exploration of color, materiality, texture, spacing, proportion, scale, and use of the environment across diverse cultural contexts
- Develop presentation materials that effectively communicate design concepts to all levels of global leadership and partners
- Collaborate with producers, design counterparts, internal partners (Brand, Retail Brand, Brand Design, Digital, etc.), and external global partners to ensure feasibility of designs and functional needs are met
- Actively gain knowledge and contribute to the development of the brand’s global standards, design ethos, products, and processes
- Apply strong understanding of design processes to ensure results, timelines, and budgets are met across regions
Travel internationally approximately 10–20% of the time

Required Skills & Experience
- Minimum of 3+ years of progressive, technically sophisticated design experience in retail, experiential, or environmental design, with a demonstrated ability to apply these skills in ways that elevate brand excellence across global markets
- Demonstrated strength in operating within a design studio environment and delivering progressively complex projects of varying scales, budgets, and timelines across diverse regions
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present new concepts and designs to small and large groups, including executive leaders and global external partners
- Proven ability to guide and collaborate with external agency teams across a mix of complex, global projects
- Strategic thinker with the ability to connect the dots across multiple approaches, regions, and outputs
- Experience building 2D and 3D renders using tools such as - SketchUp, Enscape, or Rhino
- Strong interpersonal and collaboration skills, with a highly developed ability to cultivate relationships in an open, positive, inclusive, and cross-cultural environment
