Job Description

Insight Global is seeking an Expert Seasonal Story Designer to support a large sports lifestyle retail brand with a global retail footprint, based in the Beaverton, Oregon area. You will be part of the Global Seasonal Retail Brand Design team, serving as a steward of retail innovation and delivering seasonal retail storytelling across multiple regions for the Holiday 25 season.

You will work across one or multiple workstreams simultaneously, partnering closely with global internal teams and agency partners to deliver highly innovative and immersive concepts and experiences. You will support multiple retail activations with 8–10 week workback schedules, requiring comfort navigating ambiguity and operating in a fast-paced, global environment.
Additional responsibilities include:

- Concept and lead an end-to-end global design process rooted in clear ideation, with a focus on color, materiality, texture, spacing, proportion, scale, and use of the environment
- Support and partner with the Sr. Creative Director and Design Director to lead long-term global vision, strategic and tactical direction, and design continuity
- Develop presentation materials using Figma or Keynote that effectively communicate design concepts to all levels of global leadership and partners
- Collaborate with producers, design counterparts, internal partners (Brand, Retail Brand, Brand Design, Digital, etc.), and external global partners to ensure design feasibility and functional requirements are met
- Actively gain knowledge and contribute to the development of the brand’s global standards, design ethos, products, and processes
- Apply strong understanding of design processes to ensure results, timelines, and budgets are met across regions
- Lead external agencies through design, production, redlines, feedback cycles, mechanical development, and delivery of installation across global markets
Travel globally approximately 10–20% of the time

Required Skills & Experience

- Minimum of 8+ years of progressive, technically sophisticated design and art direction experience in retail, experiential, or environmental design, with a demonstrated ability to apply these skills in ways that elevate brand excellence across global markets
- Demonstrated strength in operating within a design studio environment and delivering progressively complex projects of varying scales, budgets, and timelines across regions
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present new concepts and designs to small and large groups using Figma, including presenting to executive leaders and global external partners
- Proven ability to guide and collaborate with external agency teams across a mix of complex, global projects
- Strategic thinker with the ability to connect the dots across multiple approaches, regions, and outputs
- Experience building 2D and 3D renders using SketchUp and Enscape
- Strong interpersonal and collaboration skills with a highly developed ability to cultivate relationships in an open, positive, inclusive, and cross-cultural environment
