Job Description

Insight Global is looking for a Workstream Tech Lead (Data Modernization & Consolidation Program) to join one of our largest banking clients on a 6-month contract. The successful candidate will be responsible for the following:

- Lead end‑to‑end delivery of an assigned workstream within a large‑scale data modernization and consolidation program.
- Develop and manage workstream plans, timelines, resource allocation, and deliverables.
- Coordinate cross‑functional teams including project managers, business analysts, data architects, security/compliance teams, and vendors.
- Act as the primary point of contact for the workstream; run status meetings and provide updates to program leadership.
- Oversee requirements gathering and ensure solutions meet business needs, technical standards, and regulatory requirements.
- Review and approve workstream documentation including process flows, data models, and migration or consolidation strategies.
- Identify, manage, and escalate risks, issues, and dependencies.
- Oversee testing, validation, and acceptance activities to ensure data quality, system integrity, and business continuity.
- Lead go/no‑go decisions and post‑implementation reviews.
- Track KPIs, milestones, and outcomes; prepare executive dashboards and summaries.
- Identify opportunities for process improvement, automation, and best practice adoption.

Required Skills & Experience

- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Information Technology, Data Science, or a related field.
- 10+ years of experience in project or program delivery roles.
- At least 2 years leading workstreams or teams on large‑scale data modernization, consolidation, or migration programs.
- Strong understanding of infrastructure platform modernizations, data management concepts, data platforms, and data governance principles.
- Experience working with data architects, governance teams, or compliance stakeholders.
- Strong understanding of data center operations, colocation services, and core IT infrastructure concepts and technologies including:
○ Servers, storage, networking concepts
○ Application dependencies
○ Power, cooling, rack layouts
○ Colocation vendor contracts and SLAs
- Proven experience leading cross‑functional teams and managing senior stakeholders.
- Demonstrated ability to manage complex initiatives in fast‑paced, high‑pressure environments.
- Strong communication, negotiation, and problem‑solving skills.

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

- Experience in the Canadian banking sector or other regulated environments.
- Familiarity with project management, reporting, or dashboarding tools.
- Experience presenting to executive or SteerCo‑level audiences.
