Insight Global is looking for a Sr. Software Engineer to join a large Payments client on a 12 month contract in Toronto. The successful candidate will join a team of 7 developers developing new features within their product line. Experience with Java, springboot, JVM design patterns, and integration/unit testing is essential to be successful in this role. Please note, this role is hybrid 2-3 days a week onsite in downtown Toronto.

- 7+ years experience as a Software Developer with the ability to develop, design, and test code
- Excellent experience with Java, Springboot, JVM design patterns, and Postgres DB
- Strong experience designing, implementing, and cosuming REST APIs
- Experience with integration testing and unit testing and familiar with Azure cloud tools such as blob storage
- Knowledgeable of CI/CD principles using tools such as Jenkins and Azure Devops (ADO)
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related field
- Strong communication skills and the ability to clearly outline development updates
- Experience with Front end development frameworks such as Angular, React, or Vue.Js
- Experience with Kafka for building data pipelines for real-time streaming.
- Experience with data warehousing using Snowflake
