Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Project Manager to lead and oversee payments projects within one of our largest banking institution. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in project management, particularly within the financial services sector, and a deep understanding of payments projects and deliveries.
Key Responsibilities:
Project Leadership: Lead and manage end-to-end project delivery for payments initiatives, ensuring projects are completed on time, within scope, and within budget.
Stakeholder Management: Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, including business units, technology teams, vendors, and regulatory bodies, to ensure alignment and successful project outcomes.
Strategic Planning: Develop and implement project plans, including defining project scope, objectives, timelines, and resource allocation.
Risk Management: Identify, assess, and mitigate project risks and issues, ensuring proactive resolution and communication with stakeholders.
Budget Management: Oversee project budgets, track expenditures, and ensure financial accountability.
Team Coordination: Lead cross-functional project teams, providing direction, support, and motivation to achieve project goals.
Compliance and Standards: Ensure all projects adhere to regulatory requirements, industry standards, and internal policies.
Performance Monitoring: Track and report on project performance, using appropriate tools and techniques to measure progress and outcomes.
Continuous Improvement: Promote a culture of continuous improvement by identifying and implementing best practices and lessons learned.
Qualifications:
Education: Bachelors degree in Business, Finance, Information Technology, or a related field. PMP or equivalent certification preferred.
Experience: Minimum of 7-10 years of project management experience, with a focus on payments projects within the banking or financial services industry.
Skills:
Strong leadership and team management skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Proficiency in project management tools and software.
In-depth knowledge of payment systems, technologies, and regulatory requirements.
Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize effectively.
Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

Commercial Banking or Treasury Payments experience
Payments API experience
