Senior Product Manager – Online Business Banking (Commercial Banking), BMO
Online business banking for commercial clients is a complex, high‑stakes environment: regulatory constraints, multi‑party workflows, high‑value transactions, and demanding business users. A Senior Product Manager in this space must blend digital product leadership, commercial banking expertise, and platform‑level thinking to deliver enhancements that materially improve client experience and operational efficiency.

Role Summary
The Senior Product Manager leads the strategy, roadmap, and delivery of enhancements to BMO’s online business banking platform for Commercial Banking clients. This role drives digital capabilities that support cash management, payments, onboarding, reporting, entitlements, and API‑enabled experiences. The PM partners with Technology, Operations, Risk, Compliance, and front‑line teams to deliver secure, scalable, and customer‑centric digital solutions that improve business outcomes and strengthen BMO’s competitive position.

Key Responsibilities
Product Strategy & Vision
Define product strategy for online business banking enhancements aligned with Commercial Banking goals, regulatory requirements, and client needs.

Develop and maintain a multi‑year roadmap covering platform modernization, feature enhancements, and new digital capabilities.

Identify emerging trends in commercial digital banking, embedded banking, APIs, and treasury management to inform future direction.

Customer & Market Insight
Conduct market research, competitive analysis, and customer interviews to identify unmet needs and opportunities.

Translate customer pain points into clear product requirements and prioritized backlog items.

Champion customer experience across all digital touchpoints, ensuring usability, accessibility, and reliability.

Product Delivery & Execution
Lead end‑to‑end delivery of platform enhancements from concept to launch, ensuring quality, timeliness, and alignment with business value.

Write user stories and acceptance criteria and manage the product backlog for cross‑functional agile teams.

Partner with Technology to ensure scalable architecture, secure integrations, and robust performance.

Drive adoption through training, documentation, communications, and change‑management activities.

Stakeholder Management
Collaborate with internal partners across Commercial Banking, Operations, Risk, Compliance, and Sales to gather requirements and align priorities.

Act as primary liaison between business stakeholders and technology delivery teams.

Ensure alignment across all groups on scope, timelines, and success metrics.

Risk, Compliance & Governance
Manage product risks in compliance with legal, regulatory, and operational standards.

Ensure audit‑ready documentation for product decisions, requirements, and controls.

Support security and fraud‑mitigation initiatives across digital channels.

Analytics, Performance & Financials
Define KPIs for platform performance, adoption, client satisfaction, and operational efficiency.

Monitor and analyze data to identify issues, opportunities, and optimization paths.

Develop business cases for new features, including ROI, cost‑benefit analysis, and risk assessment.

5+ years as a Product Manager
Banking Experience
Complex, large-scale mobile application project experience
End to end product delievery lifecycle
