Job Description
Position Overview
Join an on‑premises OpenShift Platform Engineering team supporting enterprise‑scale Red Hat OpenShift environments (versions 4.12 and 4.14). This role focuses on platform stability, upgrades, architecture, and operational excellence across container infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities
Participate in planning and executing OpenShift platform upgrades.
Provide guidance and knowledge sharing on configuring Red Hat OpenShift, open‑source tools, and related vendor technologies.
Support projects involving architecture design, installation, configuration, patching, and lifecycle management of OpenShift clusters.
Perform system administration tasks including design, build, support, and troubleshooting of OpenShift environments.
Conduct performance tuning, optimization, and system hardening for OpenShift platforms.
Review and improve platform health checks and maintenance scripts.
Ensure infrastructure configurations align with best practices and operational standards.
Develop and maintain executive‑level and operational dashboards to track progress against key success metrics.
Participate in escalated support activities related to OpenShift issues.
Document platform architecture, designs, and integrated components in internal knowledge repositories.
Mentor internal staff on OpenShift technologies and best practices.
Contribute to the development of container security standards and controls.
Project (Delivery) Manager Responsibilities
Lead project kickoff meetings with stakeholders and consultants.
Collaborate with the client‑side project manager to define objectives, scope, and delivery milestones.
Coordinate vendor and support resources as required.
Provide regular updates and briefings on resource utilization and project activities.

Required Skills & Experience
- 6+ years of experience.
- Proficiency in Ansible automation, including writing and reading playbooks.
- Experience with on-prem OpenShift.
- Strong Linux administration skills.
Nice to Have Skills & Experience
Experience with Ansible Platform Tower.
Familiarity with DevOps tooling such as Jenkins and CICS.
