Job Description

Insight Global is seeking a Software Engineer to join one of our large FinTech client's teams on a 5-month contract. In this role, you will work as a member of an agile team to design, build, test, and deploy new features of a web-based application used by issuers and merchants to review disputes and provide outcomes.

You will collaborate with cross-functional teamsincluding product managers, developers, DevOps, and QAto deliver high-quality products. Your responsibilities will include creating comprehensive and well-structured test cases, developing reusable automated tests using modern frameworks, and verifying new features across microservices, APIs, websites, and backend systems.

You will also contribute to the development and maintenance of automation commons libraries and frameworks used across scrum teams, ensuring integration, functional, and performance tests are robust and regression suites remain stable. Additionally, you will troubleshoot defects, drive continuous improvement in test coverage and effectiveness, and help optimize the overall testing process.

Responsibilities:
-Design, build, and deploy new features in a collaborative Agile/Scrum environment.
-Create and maintain automated test cases for APIs, microservices, web applications, and backend systems.
-Develop and enhance shared automation libraries and frameworks.
-Ensure stability and reliability of regression test suites.
-Troubleshoot and resolve defects in collaboration with development teams.
-Continuously improve testing strategies, coverage, and efficiency.
-Participate actively in sprint planning, reviews, and retrospectives.

Required Skills & Experience

-Strong Java programming skills with hands-on experience in Selenium automation and testing frameworks like JUnit/TestNG.
-Proven ability to automate web portals, REST APIs, and backend systems with a solid understanding of SQL and relational databases (e.g., DB2).
-Experience in automated testing within Agile/Scrum environments, including CI/CD pipelines and test coverage optimization.
-Familiarity with JavaScript testing frameworks (e.g., Protractor, Jasmine) and working in PCI DSS certified environments.
