Insight Global is looking for an experience AWS Data Engineer to join our banking client in Canada. You will be joining an Agile delivery pod responsible for building curated, governed datasets in support of analytics and operational reporting. You will bring strong ETL design and cloud-native engineering capabilities and a collaborative mindset to deliver incrementally in sprints alongside product and analytics teams. You must be able to confidently contribute ideas and collaborate with other functional roles in delivery including testing, analysis, architecture, and business stakeholders
Key Responsibilities:
· Design and develop scalable ETL/ELT pipelines using AWS Glue, Redshift, and S3
· Translate user stories into resilient data flows supporting business KPIs and models
· Implement testing and data quality checks to ensure reliable delivery of curated datasets
· Contribute to team Kanban and backlog grooming, estimating tasks and continuously improving velocity
· Collaborate closely with business analysts, architects, and QA to ensure shared understanding and value delivery
· Troubleshoot and improve performance of queries, jobs, and distributed pipelines

· 5+ years of recent data engineering using AWS Services (Glue, Redshift, Athena, S3) to design and develop scalable ERL/ELT pipelines
· 8+ years overall within data solutions and engineering with experience working in large enterprise financial services companies, Wealth Management preferred
· Proficiency in Python or PySpark, and strong SQL knowledge
· Experience with schema evolution, partitioning, and incremental load strategies
· Excellent experience with data storage in AWS including AWS S3, Redshift (analytics and BI), Aurora/RDS (operational data stores), and efficient data processing.
· Familiarity with DevOps CI/CD practices (Git, Terraform/CDK, CodePipeline)
· Agile Fluency: Working in Scrum or Kanban with story-based delivery, demo readiness, and retrospective participation
· Behavioral Competencies: Collaboration, communication, adaptability, accountability, and willingness to mentor peers and learn continuously
