Senior CRIMS Consultant

Insight Global is seeking a seasoned Senior Business Consultant with deep expertise in Charles River IMS (CRIMS) and investment management systems. This role will support front- and middle-office teams across asset management, private banking, and wealth management. These teams utilize Charles River IMS (CRIMS) vendor platform, Bloomberg DL, Snowflake-based Operational Datastore (ODS), and other trading/ investment management/ market data systems. This person will be responsible for driving enhancements in trading workflows, data integration, and user experience.

This role is a 6 month contract with extensions and it will be hybrid 2-3x per week in Downtown Toronto.

Key Responsibilities:
- Partner with stakeholders to analyze business needs and deliver strategic solutions.
- Lead CRIMS workflow enhancements, including data extracts, external feeds, and reporting.
- Translate business requirements into functional specifications and manage project delivery.
- Collaborate with traders, portfolio managers, operations, compliance, and vendor teams.
- Ensure seamless integration of SMF, IBOR, and benchmark data across platforms.
- Act as SME for CRIMS, providing L2 support and consulting as needed.
- Drive innovation and continuous improvement across investment management systems.
- Mentor junior analysts and contribute to business analysis capability development.

- 10-15+ years in financial services, investment management, or capital markets technology with experience implementing investment management vendor systems.
- Bachelor’s degree required; MBA/MS preferred in Finance, Computer Science, or related field.
- Recent hands-on experience with Charles River IMS (CRIMS) implementations and upgrades
- Deep understanding of global asset classes, trade life cycles, and investment products.
- Strong background in EMS, OMS, compliance, accounting, and performance reporting.
- Proficiency in Bloomberg DL, Snowflake, SQL, PowerBI, and MS Office Suite.
- Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies and tools like Jira and Confluence.
- Exceptional communication, analytical, and stakeholder management skills.

- Experience with other vendor platforms (Blackrock Aladdin, Bloomberg DL, Bloomberg per Security, Bloomberg PORT, RIMES, Refinitiv, FactSet, Markit EDM, State Street’s DataGX and Alpha Data Platform (ADP), Axioma and BARRA portfolio risk analytics systems, etc.).
- Knowledge of mutual funds, ETFs, structured products, and derivatives.
- Exposure to cloud-based data lake technologies (e.g., Snowflake).
- Advanced reporting and visualization skills using SSIS/SSRS and MS Visio.
