Job Description
Insight Global is looking for a Cost Controller to join an excited large scale multi-dollar capital program. The successful candidate will be responsible for the below:
• Organizing and attending project meetings
• Prepare and maintain Cost Control plans and utilization staffing plans.
• Assist with contract administration and payments to subcontractors.
• Follow up tasks with internal leads and assist with schedule and cost management
• Create and maintain Cost Breakdown Structure (CBS) of the project
• Maintain project progress data and handle any issues that arise
• Create and submit Applications for Payment to the client and reply to all the questions or comments that may arise to ensure a proper billing process.
• Coordinate with Risk, Planners, Finance, IDD/BIM, Supply Chain, and Cost Controller on projects to get accurate information related to accruals and forecast.
• Analyze cost trends, identify variances and give explanations for cost deviations.
• Develop and implement cost control procedures and workflows.
• Identify or define the data sources and data acquisition techniques necessary for the proper functioning of the cost control systems.
• Aid cost control, scheduling, supply chain, and finance & project accounting groups as required.
• Prepare and present regular cost reports for internal management including overall project Dashboard, project performance report (Earned Value, SPI, CPI, Variances)
• Performs other duties and responsibilities as required.

Required Skills & Experience
• 7+ years of related project controls experience in construction projects.
• Knowledge of financial reporting systems and controller account codes.
• College and/or University degree in Engineering or related field, or equivalent work experience.
• Organizational skills to handle multiple tasks within a high-pressure work site environment.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (written and oral).
• Applied knowledge of Project Management and Cost Controls principles.
• Ability to work effectively with all levels of management and employees.
• Willingness for continuous learning and advancement of technical knowledge.
• Intermediate to expert proficiency with Microsoft Excel.
• Experience with Hard Dollar/InEight and SAP ERP systems is an asset.
• Detail oriented.
• Must be able to travel to projects.
