Job Description

Insight Global is seeking a Senior Business Analyst to join a top bank in downtown Toronto for a 6-month contract with high potential for extension. The role is 2 days a week in office downtown Toronto and will be going to 3 days a week in office starting in September 2025. The Senior BA will be supporting with data profiling and analyses for the Wholesale Credit Risk Model Development team. This team provides support tot eh Credit Risk Model Development group by providing them with the correct data to fulfil requirements for model development initiatives.

The Senior BA must be able to work independently and problem-solve on their own. They need to be organized and dedicated to their work. This role requires collaboration with other model development teams and technology partners.

The Senior BA must have business domain knowledge in Wholesale Credit Risk data. They need to understand how to locate and extract data based on business requirements, data profile, and analyze data. Proficiency with SQL and SAS is essential for success in the role. The Senior BA needs to be strong at data coding to help this team with their change management initiatives.

The Senior BA will be working day-to-day with the Model Development team to receive requirements from them to extract new data. The Senior BA will be responsible for performing data profiling to identify, sort, and source the data to provide the correct documentation to the Model Devleopment team to fulfil the data need.

Required Skills & Experience

- 7+ years of experience performing data analysis, data profiling, and data coding.
- Business domain knowledge of Wholesale Credit Risk data.
- Previous experience in a large financial institution.
- Proficient with SQL and SAS to construct, source, and sort data.
- Hands-on experience with large datasets (i.e., hundreds of thousands of data sources).
- University degree.
- Strong communication skills.

- Previous change management experience is a plus
