Job Description
Insight Global is looking for detail-oriented and technically skilled Senior Analyst to join the Market Risk group at a top bank in downtown Toronto for a 12-month contract. The role focuses on data validation, anomaly detection, and triage within market risk systems. The ideal candidate will have a strong quantitative background, advanced Python skills, and proficiency in SQL, with at least one year of relevant experience.
Key Responsibilities:
• Validate daily market risk data to ensure accuracy and consistency.
• Investigate and triage data anomalies, identifying root causes and proposing solutions.
• Develop Python scripts for automated data checks and anomaly detection.
• Use SQL to query, analyze, and validate large datasets efficiently.
• Collaborate with internal teams to resolve data issues and improve data quality processes.
• Document findings and maintain clear records of investigations and resolutions.

Required Skills & Experience
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a quantitative field (e.g., Mathematics, Statistics, Finance, Computer Science).
• Minimum 1 year of experience in a data-focused or analytical role.
• Advanced Python programming skills (e.g., pandas, NumPy).
• Proficient in SQL for data extraction and analysis.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently.
• Excellent attention to detail and communication skills.
Nice to Have Skills & Experience
• Experience in financial services or risk management is an asset.
• Experience is Capital Markets is an asset.
• Familiarity with market risk concepts and data governance practices.
• FRM (financial risk management certification) is an asset.
