Job Description

Insight Global is seeking an experienced QA Lead to support a critical enterprise initiative focused on SWIFT payment modernization upgrades within a leading banking Wire Payments team. This role will provide leadership across QA planning, test governance, defect management, and stakeholder coordination for a high-profile, business-critical application. This is not a hands-on testing position. The successful candidate will serve as a strategic QA leader, overseeing testing activities, troubleshooting issues, driving governance processes, and ensuring delivery milestones remain on track throughout multiple deployments scheduled through November.

Responsibilities
• Lead QA planning, governance, and testing strategy for a critical payments modernization program
• Oversee a QA team consisting of approximately 7-8 testers supporting both manual and automated testing efforts
• Monitor testing progress, risks, timelines, and deliverables across multiple deployments
• Facilitate defect triage sessions and drive defect resolution activities
• Troubleshoot testing and production-related issues impacting project delivery
• Track project performance against planned milestones and identify root causes when delivery risks emerge
• Collaborate with project managers, developers, business stakeholders, and testing teams to ensure quality objectives are met
• Support both Agile and Waterfall delivery methodologies
• Provide leadership, coaching, and strategic guidance across the QA function

Required Skills & Experience

• 10+ years of QA leadership, test planning, governance, and team management experience
• Strong technical background with experience in software development, quality engineering, or technical analysis
• Proven experience leading large-scale testing initiatives in the banking industry
• Strong knowledge of Wire Payments and payments processing systems
• Expertise in defect management, troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and QA governance
• Experience working within Agile and Waterfall delivery environments
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to lead cross-functional teams

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

• Experience supporting SWIFT and ISO 20022 modernization, migration, or upgrade projects
• Test automation strategy and automation framework experience
• Selenium, API automation, and UFT/UFT One
• Jira and Confluence
• SQL and database testing
• AWS experience
• Experience supporting high-volume, mission-critical banking applications
