Product Owner

Insight Global is seeking a Product Owner with a strong background in data analytics and platform migrations to join a leading financial institution in Toronto on a contract basis. This individual will play a key role in driving the delivery of business-critical data and analytics initiatives, with a focus on BI platform implementations and migrations.
The Product Owner will act as the primary liaison between business stakeholders and technical teams, gathering and refining requirements, prioritizing the product backlog, and ensuring alignment across cross-functional groups. This role requires strong stakeholder management skills, as the individual will be working closely with both business leaders and IT teams to drive end-to-end delivery.
The ideal candidate brings experience working on BI or analytics platform migrations (e.g., Tableau, Power BI, ThoughtSpot), with a solid understanding of underlying data structures, ETL processes, and data modeling. They will be responsible for ensuring that business needs are accurately translated into technical requirements and delivered effectively within a fast-paced, enterprise environment.

- Experience working as a Product Owner
Business Analyst, or similar role within data or analytics-focused environments
- Hands-on experience supporting or leading BI and analytics platform implementations or migrations (e.g., Tableau, Power BI, ThoughtSpot)
- Strong experience working with stakeholders across both business and IT teams, including gathering requirements, prioritizing backlogs, and driving alignment
- Proven experience owning or contributing to end-to-end delivery of data or analytics initiatives, including migration projects
- Strong understanding of data concepts including data modeling, ETL processes, and data pipelines
- Experience working within large enterprise environments, preferably within regulated industries
- Ability to manage competing priorities, translate business needs into technical requirements, and drive delivery timelines

Experience within financial services or other regulated environments

Experience with cloud-based data platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP)

Familiarity with Databricks or similar data engineering platforms

Agile or Product certifications (CSPO, PMP, etc.)

Prior experience specifically with ThoughtSpot implementations or migrations
