Job Description
Insight Global is supporting a large digital modernization initiative for the Province of Nova Scotia and is looking for a Full Stack Developer with strong experience in Java, React, and relational databases. This role will help rebuild a mission‑critical, externally facing web application by migrating it from an outdated tech stack to a modern, secure, scalable platform.
The ideal candidate is highly skilled across both front‑end and back‑end development, with hands‑on experience in modern Java and React frameworks, and the ability to work in an Agile environment.

Required Skills & Experience
5+ years of hands‑on development experience with Java (Java 21 preferred) and the Spring Framework (3.x).
Experience developing front‑end applications using React 18+.
Experience working with Oracle or any major relational database (e.g., PostgreSQL, MySQL).
Experience building secure, scalable, modern web applications.
Strong understanding of REST APIs, microservices patterns, and enterprise application development.
Experience working in Agile teams with strong collaboration and communication skills.
Nice to Have Skills & Experience
Experience with JHipster.
Experience modernizing legacy systems or migrating applications to modern tech stacks.
Knowledge of accessibility, performance optimization, and application hardening best practices.
