Job Description

Insight Global is looking for an Intermediate Marketing Cloud Platform Developer to join the Marketing Technology team at a large banking client downtown Toronto. This is a hybrid role, and requires onsite work 3 days a week.

This multifaceted role involves collaborating with various teams within the company and requires exceptional interpersonal skills. As an Intermediate SFMC Developer, you will be responsible for solving complex problems related to systems integration, data management, and optimizing marketing campaigns. Familiarity with other Salesforce tools, such as Salesforce CRM, CDP, and Interaction Studio, is considered a valuable asset for this role.

Responsibilities:
1. Develop and maintain SFMC solutions, including creating and configuring journeys, emails, automations, and data extensions.
2. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including marketing, IT and external stakeholders to understand requirements and provide technical expertise.
3. Participate in the planning, design, and implementation of marketing automation solutions, ensuring they align with business objectives and best practices.
4. Optimize and troubleshoot SFMC processes, workflows, and automation activities to ensure efficient campaign execution.
5. Design and implement data integration solutions between SFMC and other systems, such as CRM, CDP, and external databases.
6. Manage data flows, segmentation, and targeting within SFMC to drive personalized and effective marketing campaigns.
7. Stay updated on the latest SFMC features, releases, and industry trends to provide recommendations and improvements to existing processes.
8. Collaborate with the development team to create custom solutions, leveraging AMPscript, SQL, and SSJS, when necessary.
9. Conduct testing and quality assurance to ensure accurate and error-free campaign deployments.
10. Document technical specifications, processes, and best practices to facilitate knowledge sharing and training for other team members.

Required Skills & Experience

· Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field
· 2+ years of experience as an SFMC Developer
· Solid understanding of SFMC, including Journey Builder, Email Studio, Automation Studio, and Data Extensions
· Tech stack: AMPscript, SQL, SSJS
· Experience with data integration and API-based integrations
· Excellent communication skills to effectively collaborate with diverse teams and stakeholders
Ability to work independently and take ownership of projects, with a self-starter attitude

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

- working in marketing technology and coming from telecomm, retail, or agency background
