Job Description
Insight Global is seeking a highly motivated project management professional with expertise delivering application projects to join a major Toronto hospital. In this role, you may lead a variety of healthcare application related initiatives, including front-end application implementations, impacting either the clinical or business stakeholders. Prior experience working for a health system is required. This role requires previous project experience implementing clinical systems, having a strong understanding of change management and have the ability to manage multiple projects at a time. This organization operates a very structured approach to project management, adhering to strong PMI best practices.
To be successful in this role you will need to establish close working relationships within the relevant business area(s) to your assigned projects, develop a comprehensive understanding of the strategic drivers for the organization, as well as an understanding of the organization's capacity for change. The successful candidate will lead and collaborate with cross-functional teams, vendors, and internal departments, to ensure our technology solutions meet the needs of the organization and support the strategic goals.
Daily responsibilities might include:
• Lead the end-to-end lifecycle of assigned projects to ensure successful and timely completion of desired outcomes, including initiation / inception, procurement (RFI, RFQ, RFP), contracting (SOW development), delivery, and implementation phases.
• Lead the design and development of project plans and deliverables, such as:
o Project charters, scoping documents, delivery plans, risk and issue logs, budgets, and reports
o Statements of Work (SOWs)
o Roadmaps and schedules
o Organizational change management and communications plans
o Training plans and materials
o Transition to operations plans
• Lead cross-functional delivery teams comprised of analysts, developers, coordinators, and managers, as well as business representatives and other technical resources (IT and vendors) to support and enable delivery.
• Ensure that all steps from requirement analysis through to product selection, implementation, testing, and production are carried out in an optimal way to ensure successful and timely completion of projects.
• Facilitate a variety of meetings (stand-ups, working groups, stakeholder meetings, steering committees, workshops, and training sessions, etc.), by preparing content and ensuring actions, decisions, risks and issues are appropriately documented.
• Facilitate communication and collaboration between technical teams and business stakeholders.
• Support program management and roadmap management activities, such as:
o Following program standards and governance structures
o Sequencing of interdependent projects that are part of a program
o Supporting resource planning within a program
o Monitoring and controlling project streams to ensure alignment with overarching business goals and objectives
o Identifying program level risks and supporting mitigation or corrective actions
o Ensuring collaboration among project streams
o Supporting program change management and communications
o Measuring and monitoring success metrics and return on investment
This role is a hybrid role. Work-from-home is possible but on-site will be needed at the discretion of the project/manager.

Required Skills & Experience
• 10 years working experience; 5 years of which must be as a Project Manager in a technical / IT environment.
• Project Management Certification (PMP, PRINCE2,) or master’s in project management.
Prior experience in healthcare is considered an asset
• Experience managing project budgets of $1 million or greater; including tracking and monitoring project financials.
• Experience with healthcare applications projects
• Proven track record of successfully leading technology projects from concept to launch.
• Ability to influence others and move toward a common vision or goal.
