This Engineer will report into the head of the Global Equity Derivatives Solutions group. This is a prominent and complex role that will require the individual to interface with finance, operations, risk management, front-office and other technology teams regularly. Main duties include the below:
-Technical planning, integration, systems analysis, design, development, unit and component systems testing, support-maintenance, and more
-Supporting projects in Securities, Front Office traders, Market Risk Control / Capital Market Risk Management, Accounting, Upstream execution platforms & downstream P&L and risk reporting systems, operation teams, etc.
-Building relationships with technology project managers, delivery partners, business and systems analysts, testing and quality assurance teams, and sponsors.
-Continuing to enhance and build upon a legacy in-house trading system while helping to migrate to a real-time risk and P&L system that utilizes a distributed and robust set of innovative microservices and libraries that interact with multiple upstream, downstream, and front office users
-Actively contribute to prioritization and initial scoping of projects and book of work to aid technology stream leads within FSG Technology and project delivery team.
-Manage prioritized project deliverables and engage relevant stakeholders to elicit, understand, clarify, negotiate scope and requirements
-Demonstrate leadership and guidance to team members and act as a lead on work stream(s), involving new product delivery, pricing, market data management, trade booking and lifecycle management, regulatory delivery, application platform, reporting API, etc.
-Translate business requirements into functional and technical specifications and document them on Agile development tools such as JIRA and Confluence
-Working closely with development, actively participate or lead in design and solution sessions, and test the developed solutions end to end
-Working closely with release management and development team, ensure that prioritized scope of the application release to production environment is thoroughly tested and regressed
-Engaging business users and support team to demo and provide subsequent trainings of newly rolled out functions
-Investigate and resolve any production issues or user inquiries

-Undergraduate or graduate level education with focus on business administration, business analysis or computer science preferred
-2-3+ years of experience in C# development
-Strong understanding and knowledge of financial products (specifically capital markets), derivative pricing, and market risk terminology (book of records and mortgage securitization)
-Working knowledge of the overall IT solution & SDLC including agile development methodology and tools
-Basic SQL skills (queries)
-Scripting experience with Python or PowerShell
-Ability to transform business requirement into functional requirements
-Ability to think in abstraction and generalization when designing solutions
-Ability to read and interpret logs to investigate and resolve any production issues
