Job Description

A major Canadian Bank is seeking an experienced Data Analyst with strong Business Analyst capabilities to support enterprise‑level operational initiatives across the Kons portfolio. This hybrid role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast‑paced environment, works confidently with large datasets, and can translate complex operational insights into clear, executive‑ready narratives.

The successful candidate will drive process efficiency, capacity planning, SLA performance measurement, and workforce transition analysis, while building high‑impact dashboards and visuals used in workshops and leadership forums.

Key Responsibilities
Operational Analytics — Analyze large, complex datasets across operations, payments, client services, wealth, business banking, and commercial banking.

SLA & Performance Measurement — Track, measure, and report end‑to‑end SLA performance; identify bottlenecks and opportunities to reduce cycle times.

Capacity Planning & Work Allocation — Assess workload distribution, forecast capacity needs, and support movement of work between internal and external groups.

Dashboard Development — Build advanced Power BI dashboards and Excel models to support operational transparency and decision‑making.

Executive Reporting — Condense complex data into clear, concise insights for senior leadership, including visual storytelling and presentation materials.

Workshop Support — Create visuals, materials, and data narratives used in operational workshops and future‑state design sessions.

Business Analysis — Document current‑state processes, define future‑state workflows, and support transition planning across business units.

Stakeholder Engagement — Follow up with cross‑functional partners, gather requirements, validate assumptions, and ensure alignment across teams.

Process Efficiency Projects — Evaluate human‑driven processes, identify inefficiencies, and recommend improvements to reduce manual effort and turnaround times.

Required Experience
Data Analyst Experience (7–10 years)
Deep experience in banking operations, payments, client service, wealth, business banking, or commercial banking.

Proven ability to measure SLAs, operational KPIs, and end‑to‑end process performance.

Strong background in process efficiency, workflow optimization, and operational insights.

Business Analyst Experience (3–4 years)
Experience gathering requirements, facilitating workshops, documenting processes, and supporting future‑state design.

Banking industry experience required.

Technical Skills
Power BI — advanced dashboarding, DAX, data modeling.

Excel — complex formulas, pivot tables, modeling.

SQL — querying, joining, and manipulating large datasets.

MS Office Suite — especially PowerPoint for executive‑level visuals.

Exposure to AI‑driven analytics tools and automation concepts.

Soft Skills
Ability to analyze quickly and present insights clearly in a fast‑paced environment.

Strong relationship‑building skills across technical and non‑technical teams.

Excellent communication skills, especially in simplifying complex data.

Comfortable leading discussions, workshops, and stakeholder sessions.
