Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Business Analyst to join a leading enterprise organization in the financial services sector to support a high-priority data and reporting initiative scheduled for go-live at the end of September. This role will be heavily focused on requirements gathering, data analysis, stakeholder engagement, and investigation activities to support project delivery through October, with the possibility of extension based on project timelines.
This is an excellent opportunity for a detail-oriented Business Analyst who thrives in complex, data-driven environments and enjoys bridging the gap between business stakeholders and technical teams.
Key Responsibilities
• Lead requirements elicitation, documentation, validation, and traceability across business and technology stakeholders
• Gather, analyze, and document business, functional, and data requirements
• Conduct deep-dive data analysis and investigations to identify data quality issues, root causes, and process gaps
• Work closely with business stakeholders to understand reporting and data requirements
• Collaborate with technology teams to assess feasibility, support testing activities, and ensure solutions meet business needs
• Support impact assessments, implementation planning, and change-related activities
• Facilitate discussions across multiple stakeholder groups, ensuring alignment on project objectives and deliverables
• Create high-quality project documentation, including requirements artifacts, process flows, data mappings, and analysis summaries
• Support project delivery in a fast-paced environment with multiple workstreams and competing priorities

Required Skills & Experience
• 5–7+ years of Business Analysis experience within complex, data-centric environments
• Strong experience gathering, documenting, and validating business and data requirements
• Advanced data analysis skills, including experience investigating large datasets and resolving data discrepancies
• Hands-on SQL experience
• Strong Excel skills for analysis, reconciliation, and reporting
• Proven experience conducting root cause analysis and investigative work related to data or reporting processes
• Excellent documentation skills with a strong focus on detail, accuracy, and auditability
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills with the ability to work effectively across business and technology teams
• Ability to manage ambiguity and navigate complex business problems independently
Nice to Have Skills & Experience
• Experience working with relational databases, including Netezza or similar data warehouse technologies
• Experience supporting Risk Management, Risk Data, or Regulatory Reporting initiatives
• Exposure to mergers and acquisitions (M&A) projects or integrations
• Experience supporting large-scale data, reporting, or transformation programs
• Familiarity with credit risk data, regulatory reporting frameworks, or financial reporting environments
• Experience working within Agile delivery teams
Knowledge of JIRA for workflow and backlog management
