Job Description

Insight Global is seeking a Business Analysts to support major regulatory initiatives within a leading financial services client. This rolea will focus on regulatory enhancement projects, including improving how customer tax data is captured, processed, and reported.

The BAs will work closely with operations, product owners, and technical teams to gather and translate business requirements into actionable user stories, support data integration efforts, and ensure alignment across stakeholders. This role will also involve understanding conditional requirements, defining testing scope, and ensuring data flows correctly across systems. The ideal candidate is highly polished, can confidently present to stakeholders, and is comfortable operating at a delivery/project management level when needed. You will also play a key role in driving best practices, including leveraging AI tools, maintaining Jira artifacts, and contributing to templates and release documentation.

This is a hybrid role based in Toronto (2 days onsite per week) with an initial timeline through the end of the year and a target start date of July 1st.

Required Skills & Experience

5+ years of experience as a Business Analyst within financial services
Strong experience working on regulatory or tax-related projects (e.g., FATCA, tax reporting, tax slips)
Experience working closely with operations teams and cross-functional stakeholders
Proven ability to act at a high level (DPM-style) — managing scope, coordinating deliverables, and driving alignment
Strong experience with requirements gathering, documentation, and writing user stories (Jira)
Experience supporting data integrations and understanding data flows across systems
Strong communication and presentation skills (client-facing, stakeholder updates, etc.)
Experience working in Agile environments
Comfortable working with testing scope/coordination and release cycles

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

Experience with FATCA or Tax Slip projects specifically
Exposure to origination platforms (e.g., BBX) or banking product systems
Familiarity with AI tools, AI scorecards, or incorporating AI into BA workflows
Experience with Jira AI tools or automation frameworks
Experience creating templates, release notes, and documentation standards
Background working at a large Canadian bank
Candidates currently rolling off a project or available for a quick start
