Job Description
We are seeking a Senior Financial Business Analyst to lead a critical project focused on replacing core banking and finance systems. This role requires a seasoned consultant with strong analytical skills, executive-level maturity, and the ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate will have deep experience in finance and accounting projects, excellent communication skills, and proven success in Agile environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Analyze current state accounting flows and financial processes to understand how money moves through the organization.
- Collaborate with business teams, operations, and multiple finance groups to design and document future-state processes for a new finance system.
- Work closely with stakeholders to map financial system conversions, including settlement and reconciliation processes.
- Interpret and simplify complex financial and technical concepts for non-technical audiences.
- Act as a liaison between business and technology teams, ensuring alignment and clarity.
- Support implementation of core banking system replacement (Fiserv) and related financial applications (SAP or similar).
- Facilitate workshops, gather requirements, and produce detailed documentation.
- Operate independently and provide leadership in high-pressure situations.

Required Skills & Experience
- 10+ years as a Business Analyst in financial services or banking.
- Strong background in finance and accounting systems projects.
- Experience with core banking systems (Fiserv preferred).
- Proven ability to manage complex financial flows, conversions, and integrations.
- Exceptional communication skills—able to articulate and simplify for executive and business audiences.
- Agile methodology experience is a must.
- Ability to work with multiple stakeholders across business and operations teams.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; capable of “unwinding” complex situations.
Nice to Have Skills & Experience
- Experience with SAP or similar financial applications.
- Prior involvement in banking system migrations or “bank-in-a-bank” projects.
