BSA Data Governance

We're launching a project to accelerate maturity in data governance practices, and we're looking for a Business Systems Analyst (BSA), Data Governance to help shape and support this initiative.

This role will act as the bridge between business data owners, compliance teams, and the Microsoft Purview technical team. The analyst will develop business requirements, coordinate domain onboarding, and help ensure data classification, retention, and disposition processes are defined and properly documented.

5+ years' experience as a BSA, Data Analyst, or Governance Analyst

Hands-on experience documenting requirements for data governance processes (metadata, classification, retention)

Ability to gather requirements and manage work in Jira and Confluence

Experience collaborating across business, compliance, and technical teams

Strong documentation and communication skills

Experience in financial services or other regulated industries

Working knowledge of Microsoft Purview (for data cataloging, classification, and retention activities)

Familiarity with data governance frameworks (DAMA, DCAM)

Exposure to Azure data ecosystem elements (e.g., Data Factory, Synapse)

Project management experience supporting data projects in regulated environments
