Job Description

Insight Global is looking for a Bookkeeper/Accountant to join a Merchant Banking client in downtown Toronto. This role requires 5x/week in person with 9-6 PM EST working hours.

The successful candidate will be responsible for the following:
Primary custodian of financial records across all three divisions of the firm:
Merchant banking
Family Office (managing the founder's estate, personal finances, properties, and related affairs)
Investment Tracking (monitoring and maintaining investment records)
Full-cycle bookkeeping
Ad hoc financial and administrative tasks as needed

Required Skills & Experience

Proficient in navigating broker statements, equity positions, and calculating gains/losses
2-3 + years of experience using QuickBooks for record keeping
Strong skills in Microsoft Office Suite
Prior experience at a small CPA firm
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

Tax preparation experience (especially with Taxprep software)
CPA designation or currently enrolled in a CPA program
