Insight Global is looking for a qualified Application Architect who will be an integral part of developing key architecture for a large bank in Canada. This candidate will be involved in blueprinting the existing architecture and design for a payments processing platform to enhance documentation for upcoming programs. This is an external facing application and candidate should be well-versed in web-based and UI/UX centric applications. This person will be working in a large scale web development team based in Toronto, ON and should be comfortable going onsite 3x a week to Downtown Toronto.
Responsibilities:
Define architectural vision aligning with enterprise strategy.
Describe solution intent, primary systems, and interfaces.
Ensure solution suitability by working with stakeholders and vendors.
Contribute to best practices, templates, and architecture roadmaps.
Lead presentations and create high-level architecture design adaptable to business needs.

6+ years in Web-Based Application Architecture in a large enterprise banking/financial services institution.
Leadership experience in architecture/development/testing.
Proficiency in SOAP/REST Webservices, Angular (7.0+), HTML5/CSS3.
Expertise in React, Java EE, Spring MVC, Selenium, ALM, qTest, Angular, node.js.
Knowledge of application servers and secure coding (i.e., Jboss EAP, Tomcat, Weblogic, SonarQube)
Experience with GIT/Bitbucket, and Maven for DevOps/CICD
Familiarity with Agile methodology and JIRA (SAFe Agile Practices).
Excellent communication and collaboration skills with strong presentation skills using Jira or PowerPoint.
