Job Description

The Regulatory Reporting Specialist will support Equitable Bank’s Basel III AIRB capital adequacy initiative. This individual contributor role partners closely with Finance, Risk, IT, Basel PMO, and external vendors to design, implement, and migrate regulatory capital reporting to a new vendor‑provided capital engine and reporting platform. The role is hands‑on and project‑driven, with responsibility for requirements gathering, gap analysis, data mapping, system configuration, testing, documentation, and stakeholder communication. The specialist ensures compliance with OSFI regulatory requirements, data governance standards, and internal controls while supporting Pillar 3 and NCR regulatory reporting deliverables.

Required Skills & Experience

5+ years of hands‑on experience in regulatory reporting or capital adequacy within Canadian banks

Strong experience with Basel II & Basel III, including Standardized and AIRB (IRB) approaches

Direct ownership of regulatory capital reporting, including:
-----Pillar 3 disclosures
-----NCR (National Capital Requirements) reporting

In‑depth knowledge of OSFI regulatory requirements and Canadian banking regulations

Experience working with capital engines or regulatory reporting systems, including:
---Configuration
---Maintenance
---Testing and validation

Proven ability to lead functional and technical requirements gathering

Experience performing data gap analysis and developing gap‑closure / remediation plans

Strong background in data governance, data mapping, and regulatory data controls

Experience managing testing activities (test cases, execution, defect tracking)

Strong documentation skills (process manuals, procedures, current/future‑state documentation)

Excellent written and verbal communication with senior and executive stakeholders

Advanced Excel; solid experience with PowerPoint and Microsoft Project

Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Statistics, Business, or another quantitative discipline

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

CPA designation

Experience supporting a Basel III / AIRB transformation or migration program

Exposure to mortgage lending, servicing, and retail/commercial banking products

Previous experience working within a Basel PMO

Background in finance transformation or Big 4 consulting with Canadian banking clients
