Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Lead Structural Engineer to oversee and manage structural engineering projects from concept through completion. The ideal candidate will lead a team of engineers and designers, ensure technical excellence, and provide innovative solutions to complex structural challenges. This role requires a deep understanding of structural systems, strong leadership capabilities, and a commitment to safety, quality, and sustainability.

This role will have an estimated annual base salary of $130k-$145k.

Required Skills & Experience

Key Responsibilities:

Lead the structural design and analysis of buildings, bridges, and other infrastructure projects.
Supervise and mentor a team of junior and mid-level engineers and drafters.
Review and approve structural calculations, drawings, and specifications.
Coordinate with architects, contractors, and other engineering disciplines.
Ensure compliance with local building codes, standards, and regulations.
Conduct site inspections and provide technical support during construction.
Manage project timelines, budgets, and resources effectively.
Identify and mitigate structural risks and issues proactively.
Drive innovation in design practices and promote the use of advanced engineering tools and technologies.

Qualifications:

Bachelors or Masters degree in Civil or Structural Engineering.
Professional Engineer (P.Eng or PE) license required.
Minimum 810 years of structural engineering experience, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.
Proficiency in structural analysis software (e.g., ETABS, SAP2000, STAAD.Pro, Revit).
Strong knowledge of materials (steel, concrete, timber, etc.) and construction methods.
Excellent communication, leadership, and project management skills.
Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team environment.
