Key Responsibilities and Skills:
-Play a critical role in assisting our lawyers with commercial real estate transactions
-Be responsible for conducting, reviewing, and reporting on title and off-title searches and other real estate related due diligence
Interact with the land registry office and problem-solve procedural matters in real-time to facilitate and address unique title issues
-Manage and organize portfolio transactions and liaise with multiple key stakeholders in relation to ongoing matters
-Draft key documentation including requisitions, closing documents, transaction books and final reports
-Participate in the closing, purchase sale and financing transactions
-Be responsible for matter management and data management, including scoping and budgeting
-Collaborate and contribute as an important member of the team, and provide unwavering commitment to excellent client service

Required Skills & Experience
-Minimum 7 years experience as a Commercial Real Estate Law Clerk
-Knowledge of Registry, Land Titles and Polaris systems of title searching and registration, in both paper-based and electronic land registration systems
-Experience with electronic database filings
-Diploma or Institute of Law Clerks of Ontario Certificate (or equivalent)
-Strong computer and electronic document skills, including Microsoft Word, Outlook and Excel
-Professional demeanor and strong organizational and problem-solving skills
-Ability to process a high volume of documentation with excellent attention to detail
-Strong interpersonal skills and a team player
-Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
-A strong work ethic and commitment to excellence
Nice to Have Skills & Experience
-Bilingual (French) reading and writing abilities an asset
