Job Description
Insight Global is looking for two Sr. Software Developers based in Canada to join a large HCM company on a 7 month contract to support a government-focused vulnerability remediation program and .NET migration program. The successful candidates will be supporting the migration of .NET Framework v4.7.2 to .NET CORE v9 and will be responsible for analyzing web-pages, converting code, and writing net new code. Candidates must be able to hit the ground running to meet urgent deadlines.

Required Skills & Experience
- 5-7+ years experience working as a Software Developer within large enterprise environments
- Excellent experience with C#, .NET framework (at least v4.5), .NET CORE (at least v8 or v9), and ASP.NET with MVC design patterns
- Strong experience working within monolithic environments and building modern platforms
- Strong experience building microservices and containerized applications using docker or Kubernetes
- Experience deploying and working with ci/cd pipelines (XAML or YAML)
- Experience with CSS, HTML, or ASPx webpages
- Experience with testing - validating smoke tests, and ability to create unit tests
- Experience with AI assisted development tools - GitHub CoPilot, ChatGPT, or equivalent
- Strong experience with SQL Server DB
- Excellent communication skills, collaboration skills, and eagerness to work on challenging projects
Nice to Have Skills & Experience
- PowerShell scripting
- GitHub for source control
- Previous experience with .NET framework migrations to .NET core
- MongoDB
- Working within agile/scrum environment
- Ability to identify performance bottlenecks or scalability challenges
